Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) is a process for creating and
validating the plan with which an organization regains access to the computer
data, hardware and software required to support critical business operations
after a disaster.

	Evaluate existing backup and recovery procedures
	Determine exposures to the business
	Quantify economic impact to the business
	Identify and evaluate relevant recovery strategies and associated impact on the business
	Determine costs and resource requirements
	Develop and implement backup and recovery plans that support chosen strategy
	Implement program for validating disaster readiness of the organization
